Acceptable Use Policy
Voice technology is powerful. These rules protect the people whose voices, words, and music pass through VoiceLamp. They apply to everything you upload, generate, and publish with it.
Last updated 1 November 2026
01Consent comes first
- Only create or use a private voice of a person who has given clear, verifiable permission for that use.
- Do not upload recordings of people to clone, dub, or transform their voice without their permission.
- Stop using a voice as soon as its owner withdraws permission.
02Never use VoiceLamp to
- Impersonate a real person, or make it seem that someone said something they did not.
- Commit fraud or scams, including voice phishing, fake emergencies, or bypassing voice-based security.
- Mislead voters or interfere with elections, or create false statements by public figures.
- Harass, threaten, bully, or defame anyone, or promote violence or hatred.
- Create sexual content involving real people without consent, or any content that sexualizes minors.
- Make automated calls or messages that break telemarketing or consent laws.
- Infringe copyright or other rights, including separating, dubbing, or remixing music or video you do not own or license.
- Break, probe, or overload the service, or get around its pricing, review, or safety checks.
03Be honest about AI audio
Where the law or a platform requires it, label AI-generated or AI-altered audio. Do not present generated speech as a real recording of a person in a way that could mislead listeners.
04Enforcement
We review reports and may remove content, cancel jobs, withdraw voices, suspend accounts, or report unlawful activity to the authorities. Serious or repeated violations lead to permanent removal without a refund.
05Report misuse
If you believe VoiceLamp has been used to imitate you or harm someone, email abuse@voicelamp.com with links or details. We act on credible reports as quickly as we can.
