The basics
What is VoiceLamp?
VoiceLamp is a private online studio for audio. You can generate natural voices and two-voice podcasts, transcribe and caption recordings, translate and dub them, clean up speech, split songs into stems, and create sound effects and music. Every job shows its price before it runs.
Do I need to install anything?
No. VoiceLamp runs in your browser. Sign in with Google or a one-time email link and your private studio is created automatically. There are no passwords to remember.
Can I try it for free?
Yes. Every new account gets 50,000 free credits to try any tool, with no card needed. Quick repair and Video to audio are always free. After that, credits come from a plan or a one-time top-up, and you see the exact price before anything runs.
Which languages are supported?
Voice generation covers more than 600 languages and locales (some are marked experimental, so test those first). Transcription supports 59 languages plus mixed-language audio, dubbing supports 108 languages, and podcasts support 84 languages.
Credits and billing
How do credits work?
One credit is one character of Economy voice. Plans add credits every month, starting with Starter at Rs 1,350 for 1M credits, and you can top up from Rs 500. Better voices and heavier tools use more credits. Before each job you see its exact credit price, and nothing is charged until you approve it.
How much does a job cost?
It depends on the tool, the length, and the quality you choose. For example, Economy voice costs 1 credit per character, a podcast about 68 credits per character, and transcription about 4,400–5,600 credits per minute. See typical costs. The studio always shows the exact price before you approve a job.
What happens if a job fails?
The credits reserved for it go straight back to your balance, automatically. You do not need to contact us.
Do credits expire?
No. Unused credits stay in your balance while your account is open, including after you cancel a plan.
How do I cancel or get a refund?
Cancel any time from Billing in your studio and keep your plan until the end of the paid period. You can get a full refund within 14 days of your first payment if you have used no more than 10% of its credits. See the refund policy. Card payments are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record; rupee payments (JazzCash, Easypaisa, Raast) by our local payment partner.
Voices and safety
Can I create a private copy of my own voice?
Yes. In My voices, request a private voice with a clean WAV sample of 3–30 seconds and a permission record. Our review team checks it before the voice is turned on. See private voices.
Can I clone someone else's voice?
Only with that person's clear, verifiable permission for the use you describe. Impersonation, fraud, and voices made without consent are forbidden by our Acceptable Use Policy, and requests without proper permission are rejected.
Can I use what I create in my projects?
Yes. You keep ownership of your uploads and of the outputs created for you, to the extent the law allows, under our Terms and Acceptable Use Policy. Label AI-generated audio where the law or a platform requires it.
Files and privacy
What files can I upload?
Transcription, dubbing, voice cleanup, and stems accept WAV, MP3, M4A, MP4, MOV, FLAC, OGG, Opus, and WebM, up to 5 minutes and 25 MB per file. Video to audio accepts videos up to 10 minutes and 200 MB and runs in your browser.
Is my audio used to train AI?
No. We use your content only to run the jobs you approve. Only the file or text needed for a job is sent to the provider that performs it. See our Privacy Policy.
How long are my files kept?
Until you delete them. Workspace owners can also turn on automatic deletion of sources and results after a number of days in Settings → Retention.
Can my team share a workspace?
Today each account has its own private workspace. Shared team workspaces are not available yet.
